I saw a post from Cara/January One on IG with yarn she got from La Bien Aimée ... and I think I might just have to treat myself to a little Paris shopping, too!

For Bingo - I recommend How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid for the 2nd Person narrative. I listened - Hamid narrates - and it's excellent. and for the non-human protagonist, how about Pax by Sarah Pennypacker (Rainbow might enjoy it, too), or Winnie the Pooh (I listened and the narrator is so good!) ... or better yet - Mink River by Brian Doyle. I saw your review of Prognosis: A Memoir of My Brain, and quickly went to Amazon and snagged it for free. I mostly ignore First Reads because they have been disappointing, but this book sounds interesting. Thanks for the suggestion!

I read Bambi for Book Bingo a few years ago, and it remains one of my favorites. The beautifully descriptive language made it a real pleasure to read, and the whole story of Bambi is worthwhile. It might be a possibility for your non-human protagonist square.Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.com
