The Essex Snake sounds interesting as well! Maybe there is a translation up already ... I have been reading Knitting Murder Mysteries by the way. Horrible written, but nothing you have to concentrate on ;)Juliahttp://wordsandstitches.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18506844.post-90750834533049259592021-05-13T20:10:31.727-04:002021-05-13T20:10:31.727-04:00Hmmm, I read The Essex Serpent and know that I lik...Hmmm, I read The Essex Serpent and know that I liked it, but I can't really remember anything about it (which says something right there!!). I started reading "Daughters of the Dust" and am enthralled with it.Verahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13189170045283685051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18506844.post-74879912417174241722021-05-13T07:47:20.773-04:002021-05-13T07:47:20.773-04:00Okay, my reading list just grew exponentially! She is a remarkable young woman and writer. I also loved the Acevedo on audio - I was captivated by the sisters' stories from start to finish. I love how writers can create the most beautiful worlds, even when they're painful to visit.

SO MANY BOOKS!!Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02759839416399593648noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18506844.post-13945538605472107032021-05-12T18:52:09.066-04:002021-05-12T18:52:09.066-04:00I bought The Essex Serpent a few weeks ago so I...I bought The Essex Serpent a few weeks ago so I'd have it when I had time to read it ... Sara is all excited about the story because it's being made into a show starring Clare Danes (which means she'll probably read it too). Novel Pairings LOVE Acevedo and the three books of hers I've read (not sure if there are more) pair with so many classics. Modern Mrs Darcy read Poet X last fall and hosted an author session. Wow, she is just as beautiful in person as you'd hope! I didn't realize "having another family" was a real thing ... and now I realize it's been a plot point in THREE books I've read recently - Clap When You Land, In the Time of Butterflies, and Silver Sparrow. who knew?!Maryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07047968915708927082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18506844.post-38589114200004995522021-05-12T09:55:57.442-04:002021-05-12T09:55:57.442-04:00The Essex Serpent sounds intriguing and I love the...The Essex Serpent sounds intriguing and I love the cover! I'll have to see if it's available from my libraries, and the same with Clap When You Land. I'm reading Hatchet and The Premonition, and looking for some really good fiction!Bonnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11608328439375705263noreply@blogger.com
