Sweater Mojo: I Haz It

I don't know whether it was the sudden cold snap last week or the depressingly early sunsets of eastern standard time, but something has caused my sweater mojo to come back in full force. The last time you saw my Oblique, I only had about six inches done on the back. It sat like that for some time and then, all of the sudden, I felt the urge to do some serious sweater knitting. I powered through the rest of the back in a matter of days, completed one front in a weekend, and am now roughly two-thirds of the way through the second front. I'm hoping to finish it off tonight.

After this, there's just the sleeves, seaming, collar, and button bands to be done. It's a slim shot, but I may just finish it by Thanksgiving.

  1. Your speedy knitting never ceases to amaze me! I will not be the least bit surprised if I see this modeled around Thanksgiving! I had high hopes for a Thanksgiving sweater, too but it looks like Christmas is a more likely goal. Oblique looks pretty!

  2. I think there is something about the cold weather that makes you want to curl up on the couch and knit. I have been feeling the mojo also with the brisk fall weather!

Can't wait to see the final product.

Nice job! I had some good knitting mojo and have completed two sweaters in the last couple of months (one is yet to make it's appearance on the blog!), and hope to keep going since there are so many great cardigans/sweaters I want to knit.

  5. My sweater mojo went up in smoke with the button band for my Nonpareil. Hopefully I can make some headway on that Wednesday night. Meanwhile, your sweater is looking fabulous!
