What Day Is It?

We're back! And we're quite a bit jetlagged. We got home at around 1 a.m. this morning, promptly rolled into bed, and passed out. We spent much of today running errands (grocery shopping, bank, etc.) and doing laundry (load three of four is in the dryer). I have a feeling we'll be getting to bed early again tonight.

All in all, we had a fantastic time. We're in the process of going through all of our pictures (The Mister alone took more than 1,200!); I'll post the best to my Flickr account later in the week, once I have time and energy to put in all the information so you'll know what you're looking at.

Lest you think I left all my knitting at home, here is some proof that wool did make the trip with us in the form of some simple stockinette socks for my father in law. First they saw the port of Katakolon in Greece (they only came out on the bus as it was pouring at Olympia):

Then they did a little sightseeing at the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey:

They admired the view from the ship at the port in Istanbul (not Constantinople!) and spied one of the many mosques:

They also traveled to Dubrovnik, Croatia, where this knitter was so enthralled she forgot to take a picture.
I am way behind in my blog reading and my e-mailing, so I hope you'll forgive me if I've been lax in responding to your e-mail or commenting. I hope I'll be caught up in a few days, but frankly right now sleep is more important than anything! Bear with me!

  1. Glad you're back in one piece. Hope the flights weren't too awful since I know you were worried about that. Hope to see you Wed. night, but I totally understand if you're still too jetlagged to appear! :)

When I saw your comment on my blog I thought, "Oh wow! She must have gotten back last week!" Now I feel especially honored to know that you JUST GOT BACK and you visited me and commented!! I'm so happy for you and the Mister that you had such a wonderful time. It always takes a while to really get back from a trip.

    Welcome back!!
