Let the Fun Begin!

As of last night, the yoke of The Mister's Seamless Hybrid was complete. You know what this means, don't you?

Tonight I get to start the saddle shoulders! My numbers are a little off from EZ's, but I'm making it work and I'm having faith that all will work out. My (perhaps insanely ambitious) goal is to finish this up in the next couple of nights so that, following a steam block, The Mister can wear it to Thanksgiving dinner and show off my mad skillz to all my relatives -- among them the aunt who taught me to knit many, many years ago!

Regardless of whether or not I meet my goal, I promise that the next time you see this sweater it will be more interesting than a brown blob on the floor.

  1. Seems like it's a doable goal!

Go SJ go! Go SJ go! So SJ go!

  2. Yay! Go go go! I got Tom's sweater done, but I haven't taken any pictures of it yet because he hasn't been up to a photo shoot. I like to show off my mad knitting skillz to relatives!

  3. My goal to day is the final seam on the purple sweater, and I have two more sweaters just sitting around waiting for seaming. I did, however, find the yarn I want to use for the no-purl Monkeys while photographing my stash for Ravelry.

But i'm getting that sweater itch back, and that makes me happy! Your seamless hybrid looks awesome. Yay for mad skilz!

  4. Good luck with the finishing (though knowing you, you're already finished with it)! :)

  5. Mad skilz indeed! TWO sweaters off the needles in such a short time? WOWSERS!

My DD is heading to Philly today to spend Thanksgiving with her future in-laws. As time goes on I may have to get a list of knitting haunts from you. Oh wait! Maybe you are in Pittsburgh, not Philadelphia!
